Atelje Prelovšek is architectural studio connecting different nationalities and working experiences. Studio was founded in 2008 by main partners Eva Prelovšek Niemelä and Aarne Johannes Niemelä and is working between Ljubljana, Slovenia and Turku, Finland.

Studio is mostly involved in architectural planning and realization of buildings, urban design and interior design. Our planning process aims at answering basic demands of each climatic, social and cultural area in order to plan sustainable and social responsible buildings. We tend to plan low energy buildings and urban environments, we try to reduce need for car traffic by means of urban planning and design. We plan environments for various user categories from children to elderly people in order to extend the level of communication, cultural understanding and social welfare.

Besides, we are also involved in architectural publishing. We are writing for leading Slovene architectural magazine HIŠE; Eva Prelovšek Niemelä is since 2015 editor-in-chief of HIŠE (Houses) magazine. We are also co-organizing the Month of Design event in Slovenia and are organizing different architectural traveling exhibitions.
